Kevin supports organizing groups combining offline with online organizing to build power and win campaigns, including texting, tech-enabled relational outreach, and online ads. This has included 1:1 work with close to 100 unions and community organizing groups, as well as leading multiple training programs reaching close to one thousand organizing staff. Prior to SMT, Kevin worked on issue and electoral organizing at the local and state level, including leading digital strategy for an anchor organization of the movement that abolished cash bail in Illinois, as well as City Council candidate Andre Vasquez, who ousted a 36-year incumbent despite being outspent 10:1. Kevin first became active in local racial justice work as a volunteer organizer fighting mass incarceration, including the fights for police accountability in Chicago and to abolish cash bail throughout Illinois.
